Female masturbation is often seen as taboo. Women talking about masturbation is not something that is taken for granted, but that should not be the case. Despite research showing that women masturbate just as often as men, it is still not a topic that all women openly discuss.
To help us shake off the persistent social stigma, we've created a guide to female masturbation. We're sharing some top tips to make masturbation even more pleasurable and enjoyable for you.
All you have to do now is read on and plan an early evening.
We have so many tips that we divided them over 2 blogs, check out part 1 here !
Alternate between your hands and sex toys
While a toy may have a higher success rate for orgasm, it is a good place to start with your hands so you can get to know and understand your body better. It is also similar to the sensations produced by a partner's hands.
When you switch to using a vibrator, you will start to feel those (sweet) sensations that your fingers can't provide. Just be careful that your sex toys don't make you lazy.
The truth is that today's vibrators and sex toys have so many different features that focus on different ways to give you an orgasm that it's worth trying them all out and finding what works best for you.
Look at yourself
Setting up a mirror and watching yourself pleasure yourself can give you the same rush you get from trying on new lingerie. Plus, research from the University of Texas at Austin found a link between good body image and sexual satisfaction.
In other words, instead of focusing on the parts of your body that you wish were tighter, focus on embracing and caressing those beautiful curves.
Remember this; you only get one body with which to experience all these wonderful sensations. Cherish your body and you will soon find that this confidence permeates the rest of your life.
Change your positions
Masturbate in different positions, instead of resting on your back and using your fingers or toys, get on your knees and push your clitoris onto a vibrator, or move your body into a doggy position.
Or you can try raising your legs as high as you can (knees to shoulders) to help you reach the inner parts of your clitoris or roll over onto your stomach and see if it feels good for you.
Add some penetration to the mix
Some women don't use penetration while masturbating, but if you want to try it, move your fingers in and out of you slowly - or quickly if you prefer - while continuing to play with your clitoris.
Start by sliding a finger between your lips to open things up, then dab some lube on your fingertips if you want extra slickness. Slide your fingers back and forth from the vaginal opening to the clitoral opening.
Don't go in yet; tease yourself. Try one finger first, then insert a few fingers into your vagina, curling them a little.
You can also just move your fingers in and out without touching the clitoris: the choice is entirely yours. Essentially, you're just looking for what you like, and if it's penetration with clitoral stimulation, do more of it!
You deserve to live your best life...always
Your most reliable sex partner throughout your life is you. That's great, because masturbating helps you figure out what you like and encourages you to change things up - plus, it's a (mostly) drama-free relationship.
Masturbation is akin to a pleasure lab, and what you discover during masturbation will be useful during partner sex and future solo escapades.
Giving yourself pleasure reinforces the message that you deserve it and that feeling good is part of your life’s toolkit. In addition to helping you sleep better, reduce anxiety, and more, masturbation can create the positive vibes you need to live your best life!
